Shopping carts are
very much in use, the malls are very crowded, and smiles are all over in
everyone’s face, blessings are pouring. It is the time again to decorate the
house, wrap gifts to love ones and to celebrate the most important day of the
year- it is when our Savior is born. Jesus Christ birthday or Christmas is fast
approaching.
Every street is
lighted with different Christmas light; many portraits are made to reminisce
the birth of Jesus. This is the season to forget all the sadness, problems and
let love over flow in our hearts. Isn’t it the true meaning of Christmas? This is
the reason why Jesus Christ is brought to the world. To give us joy, hope and
most of all salvation, always remember that. I always remember our Church
Pastor telling us, “It is better to give than to receive”. It is a universal rule;
it should be applied this season.
Nowadays, there are a
lot of people who are very down because of the calamities that hit the
Philippines shore. They need our help. Did you see the news? It is very
devastating. More than 900 people died because of Pablo. More than a hundred are
missing; many were left homeless, there is food scarcity. Christmas is fast
approaching, many are celebrating but many of our kababayan’s as well are
questioning God’s purpose of the calamity, let us give them a helping hand.
Show them that this is the season again- the season where love prevails above all,
despite trials. God is bigger than our problems.
God is our savior; He
will light the dark road. At the end of the tunnel, there will always be light.
Jesus has given us the light. Show to the person who needs light that You are a
child of God. Give them the reason to believe that God exist. This is the real
meaning of Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
