Two developments from Ateneo:
* Mr. Ricky Palou, Mr. Tony Boy Liao and Mr. Roger Gorayeb are expected to protest before the UAAP Board the eligibility of two La Salle players, namely Cha Cruz and Wensh Tiu, at the end of the first round of games.
* After initially applying the Sweep Rule akin to what is being implemented to basketball, Ateneo, the current UAAP host school, reversed its decision, effectively removing the application of the Sweep Rule to volleyball.
