Shakeys V-League Season 9

SCHEDULE (Tue, Thu, Sun)
April 24 - June 14, 2012
The Arena, San Juan City

FORMAT:
Preliminaries:
The ten (10) participating teams will be divided into two (2) groups - A & B.(above)
Each group will play one (1) round.
The top four (4) teams in each group will qualify into the Quarter Finals.

Quarter Finals:
The eight (8) quarter-finalists will be merged into one group and will play one round,
PROVIDED THAT:
The matches played by the teams in the preliminary round will no longer be played but the results will be carried over into the quarter finals. Therefore, the qualified teams of one group will only play matches against the qualified teams of the other group and vice versa.

Semi-Finals:
Teams ranked 1st and 4th of the quarters will play a best-of-three series
Teams ranked 2nd and 3rd of the quarters will play a best-of-three series

Finals:
The winners of the semis will play a best-of-three series for the gold medal.
The losers of the semis will play a best-of-three series for the bronze medal.
If the series for the gold medal ends in two (2) games, the series for the bronze medal will also end in two (2) games. A tie in the bronze medal series will be resolved by FIVB rules.

Group B:
Adamson University
Colegio de San Juan de Letran
San Sebastian College-Recoletos
University of Saint La Salle (Bacolod)
University of Santo Tomas
